As of today I am no longer a customer of Home Depot. Three employees were in the covered garden shop portion shooting the breeze and I asked for help. After describing my problem, they suggested I go by myself into the open section and I could easily find what I needed. A neighbor confirmed my experience. So sad to see service is down the tubes. I received excellent customer service from HD employee Shirley Mitchell in seeking a resolution of an item I wished to return that was no longer carried by HD.

Shirley was pro-active and courteous. I appreciated how she handled my comlaint. Started a bathroom remodel project, We ran out of of 1 x 9 daltile tapestry deco tile trim pieces. Need about 8 more. Went to local store found out it was discontinued. Asked if I could buy the display and was laughed at. Could you please tell me who you sell your discontinued tile products to?

Some one has to have a few pieces I could buy. I believe the display pieces would work to finish the project. The customer service here has never been good, but it has really gone down hill. It has reached the point of non-existance. Yesterday, mid afternoon, I was second in line at the returns counter to check out. The two cashiers were chatting with the woman in line in front of me, whom they knew, and I stood in line waiting a very long time while one of the women left from behind the counter to go check something for the woman.

When your cashier returned, they all discussed the issue, whatever it was, further, laughed and chatted some more. Another employee, an older white man,who greets customers, was watching this. He could see that I was being ignored so he directed me to the customer service counter to check out, so I walked over there.

There were two women behind the counter. I was the only customer in line to check out. The two women were at the other end of the counter, talking with a young man who was seated on the opposite side of the counter. Both women saw me, they glanced my way, but neither woman acknowledged me. I waited for several minutes, as I watched them laugh and carry on with the young man. I finally spoke up and asked if one of them would check me out.

They glanced at me, but did not acknowledge me, and they continued to laugh and carry on with the young man. The older, white man stood by helplessly watching their intentional lack of customer service. I am able to whistle extremely loud, and exasperated that I was unable to check out and in order to be certain of their attention, I whistled very loudly and loudly asked them to check me out. They looked at each other and both continued to ignore me. I told them that they could keep the merchandise and I walked out.

Sir, I will pay more money at any of your competitors for better service. I will never set foot in Home Depot again and I am discouraging as many people as possible to boycott the Zachary location. Others here are as fed up with the years of poor customer service here, and others are willing to go elsewhere as well. Many have told me that they avoid Home Depot and will drive thirty minutes to buy what they need rather than set foot in Home Depot, as will I.

Let me say, I buy at this store because of the convenience factor and I like Behr paint. I am disappointed in my experience with a young woman in the paint department. She was lacking in paint mixing experience as well as dealing with people. I had previously purchased a sample paint, liked the color and asked for the same color only instead of flat, I knew that samples were available in satin enamel, and asked for that instead.

She made the color in flat and when I questioned why, she responded that samples only could be mixed in flat. As I am deciding or not to get a quart in addition, I was abruptly dismissed, as she greeted a return customer. Sorry, but, this has happened more than one time, and I needed to speak up this time.

I have been a loyal customer for dozens of years, have spent thousands on my current home and was just disappointed by a visit to the Rehoboth Beach store. I purchased last summer a pressure washer electric that remained unopened in my shed. I recently had to begin spray washing my home and realized the unit was not powerful enough.

I just purchased and received a more powerful one from your web site and took my receipt and unopened washed to the store. I was told that after a year, I could not return the item.

I frankly have returned purchases without receipts for items that were as old as 10 years that were never used and find this response quite disturbing. For the last time I visited a Home Depot. Recently at your Neshaminy store I wanted to purchase bags of dirt. Top soil for my yard. Went to the registar and ask and pointed to the racks. Two girls there told me theres some near the back gate so I went back a 4th time. It was rock salt, not top soil.

They just want to get ride of me and keep their conversation going. Customer service I think I know about. Hello, I ordered 2 replacement window back in Aug. The project was finally completed in Dec. I had nothing but problems including the wrong product being installed, at least 3 missed appointments for which I missed work or paid someone to be at my home to meet the installation person.

I feel that I have been take advantage by Home Depot in terms of the product I was sold and the level of service I received. And now that the project is finally completed, I am receiving phone calls to authorize the billing. However, I am still in negotiations with the Installation Manager who changed during the length of the project and his Manager Chad who has yet to call me back. I have now decided to call in everyday to customer service to make sure that I am not being reported as simply not paying my bill.

He told me it was not normal protocol at his store. At this point I will probably will not do business with Home Depot and I am contemplating filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. They are hard to find these days. We will be back. The appliance was delivered and installed while I was hospitalized. Cannot see inside glass is black. This item cooks very slowly and not quite hot normally anyway. We have to keep adding more time for it to cook.

He had me fill out paperwork, made an appointment to have the roof evaluated, and gave me a confirmation Later that night I got a call from a young lady who wanted to confirm the information. We did so, but somehow it came up that the house belonged to my daughter and not myself.

I was then told that my daughter would have to make herself available to the HD roof inspector. It was not inspected because she could not AND would not be available. The other HD sales professionals were completely helpful, understanding, and willing to give me all their accumulated knowledge.

Wow we were in your Vero Beach Florida store and was helped by Christa in Appliances She is the reason we returned and purchased our appliances from her later that same day. Someone did not single her out because of her color they singled her out because she was disrespectful to all Americans of every color and Race. They evaluate and establish the charges. Everything has a charge! There are charges for removing old carpeting, for taking old carpeting away, for prepping the subfloor, for moving furniture, for moving HERAVY furniture.

For rescheduling because they are unprepared for installation. So Day 1 they claim the carpeting is not on the truck and they will be late scheduled installation 8AM. Installers will be here between 1 and 3. Day 2 arrival at 7: Possible rescheduling of installation pending, me hiring independent movers to move furniture.

Have to hire movers to come move furniture out of rooms so carpeting can be installed. That being said here is my issue. I live 2 hours away and went to this store because my husband had checked online, and the store said they had some specific tiles he needed. He gave me the name, description, size, and company name. I went to a young man who I assumed was in customer service. He was seated at a computer, and spent about 15 minutes trying to find the tiles. Finally, he told me the store only had 26, and they were on aisle 2 on the left hand side. I went to where he told me, and there were no tiles there at all.

I walked around until I found the tile aisle, looked for someone I might ask about them, but no one to be found. There was a man showing something to another customer on a computer, but he never even looked my way or said anything. I then went to the aisle where the tile were, and there were two boxes of tiles, but not the exact size I needed.

Needless to say, I was so frustrated, I left the store, and will not be back. Bu the way, I found the tiles I needed at Lowes, and they were very willing to help me. Home Depot had wonderful displays and selections. I wandered a bit. Occasionally a store employee would ask if I needed help. My request for directions was accurate and I found your employees to be around and willing if asked to help.

And then I went to the back of your store to look at cement stones and such, when I was approached by a lovely middle aged woman who did NOT ask if I needed help…..

She did not push product at me, but was oh so knowledgeable out her department. I purchased many garden items including heavy concrete stones. I so appreciated her personal touch and her desire to serve the customer. Please tell her how lovely it was to work with her. She is indeed a lady. This year June one hour heating and cooling came out to service my unit again with the same problems not cooling my home, his note read diagnosed system found system is low on refrigerant.

Mike Brown the tech said I have a leak in the system and he need to test the system with dye to see were the leak is located. If the leak is in the unit or from in proper installation this should be cover under the guarantee.

I try to support local retail but find it often a waste of time. Within 5 minutes of returning home, a quick online search produced the 3 filters I needed. By the way, your website offers them although the price is considerably higher than other sellers. Had you had them in stock at your store, price was of little issue and I would already have them installed.

You lost out on a purchase of a GE dryer tonight. Very poor service twice in one day at two Home Depot stores. First visit at 8 am 4 guys standing near my special order were too busy to help me, the customer, bring the product up to the loading area.

They were talking about how to unload a truck. Second experience a few minutes ago. After paying last week for a door to be measured and that cost to be credited towards the purchase so said the person in the store, and as advertised by HD , it was not going to be credited back to me.

He was busy helping another customer and was getting an order together when he saw me and asked me if he could help me with anything.

Not only was Michael a awsome forklift driver but helped me get all the flooring shower tile everything that I would need to get my bathroom finished. Michael was very knowledgeable and walked me up to the front of the store where he introduced me to adell and asked her to finish up with my order so that it could be delivered to my home. What a very nice youngman and Adell was sweet also.

I was told that it would take days to get it if it was in stock,so I paid for it and placed the order. After a week still no call saying it was in,I called to see if it was in. She told me that I would have to come into store and pick another color and it would be a considerable higher price,or get my money back. So I went back down to store to pick another color that would be suitable for my customer,I found something very close to original same finish,style but was told by sales person it would cost over double price price of original.

I went back to my customer to see if color was suitable,and I would have to absorb the extra cost as I had already given them a price. In the mean time I had contacted Formica to inquire about the original color I had ordered,i was told that it was indeed in stock and a current available product.

Totally confused and upset I returned to Home Depot and again inquired about previous product. The sales person gave me again a totally different price again! He bought 40 units of sod. When he asked some one if he could have help loading it, he was told no one was available.

He tried to catch the eye of several employees in the lot and was ignored. He is 70 years old with high blood pressure, but he loaded all himself. We will never shop at this store again. Lowes is farther from where we live, but we will go there from now on.

I am extremely upset!!! Last week, my husband took the lid of a paint can from a few years ago to get another gallon of that SAME color paint. He brought it home and I started to finish painting the room. I noticed it was not the same shade on the walls and ceiling. I looked at the old and new lids and noticed the numbers did not match only the name of the color.

She assured us that the colors would match. I spent money on that gallon of paint only to have to go back and get another gallon to repaint tHe room. I still have a number of rooms left to paint and new doors to put up throughout the house.

I first reached out to Home Depot, asking for an in-home consultation about the purchase of windows. I was assigned a contractor and date on which he would come to my home. On the day before the scheduled appointment, the contractor called me. He indicated that he had an opening in his schedule and wanted to come a day earlier. Rushed home to meet him. He did not show. When I contacted him, we agreed to keep our originally scheduled appointment.

On the day of the appointment, he called me. Again he said he had an opening and wanted to come an hour earlier. I agreed and rushed home from work. He did not show an hour earlier, nor did he show for the scheduled appointment, nor did he call with an excuse. I made a third appointment — which was scheduled for today — Monday, Nov 27th — at 6: On yesterday, Sunday, a message was left on my home answering system at 9: The caller called to confirm my scheduled appointment.

He confirmed the time as 6: No one called or came during the 6: The guy had cancelled our scheduled appointment without having contacting me!!! No more in-home services from Home Depot for me! IT is so sad to me that a huge corporation like HD handles things in this manner. Letter after letter states the same type of treatment of their customers. It is either someone else to talk to, wait for, make a decision, or a sub contractor at fault.

We moved into a new house with no appliances and the best date Home Depot and Samsung could give us was a week and a half after we moved in. I explained that we had a baby and they couldn't care less! Then our delivery got ended up getting delayed another week! Two and a half weeks with no appliances at all. Samsung confirmed all the appliances arrived BUT sitting in a warehouse 5 hours from where we live and still could not be delivered until a week after!

Both companies have no care or sympathy at all for their customers. Do not shop at Home Depot if you're expecting to get fast, efficient, and quality customer service. Do yourself the favor. Delivery scheduled and installed on Sept. The machine would not start. The delivery team were good guys. The machine was returned. Advised Home Depot sales person and supervisor on Sept. Advised that LG may take up to 72 hours to call back and advise when another machine would be scheduled for delivery. Home Depot advised that "We may have better luck in getting LG to respond. Advised that a potential delivery may be possible by Sept.

No apology or regret from LG. We went to Sears and got a Kenmore in two days. My wife went to Home Depot on Sept. The sales representative, supervisor nor store manager would meet with my wife nor offer the simplest of apology. The problem with the LG machine became our problem with Home Depot "washing" their hands of the problem and us to deal with LG. The lack of customer service from both LG and Home Depot was alarming and shameful.

So on the 9th I received a call around 11am from the repairman and said he would be there around 5pm. When he got there he looked at the machine and said the whole motor assembly would have to be replaced and that it would take 10 to 14 days to get the part which I thought was ridiculous.

The next day I called an LG service and was told it only takes 24 to 48 ours to get the parts. So then I called Home Depot Warranty and told them what I found out, and I was told that they could no authorize anyone else to repair it. I could not believe it, nothing had been done, the parts weren't even ordered. Then I asked to talk to a manager.

When I talked to the manager I was told the same thing and there was nothing she could do about it. I had to explain everything I went through and he told me that he would have to find out what actually happened because that it only takes minutes to get this authorization not weeks.

He told me that he would find out what happened and would call me back. About 45 minutes later he did call me back and said he had found the problem but he would not disclose it to me. He also gave me his phone number so that I could call him back if there was still a problem and that he would call me on Tuesday the 5th to make sure that the repairs were made.

So I waited until Monday the 4th of November and decided to call the service center that was supposed to do the repairs and was told that the parts were on order and haven't come in yet. He never called me back on Tuesday either. So know here it it almost a month later and still don't have a washing machine to use. She was really excited to get a new kitchen in our small Melbourne, FL home.

When I arrived home from work three hours later, I went to my den as I always do to take off my wedding band and put it in my leather watch case - the case is about the size of a fat loaf of bread. I was shocked when I opened the case and found the top level of three watches missing. We knew what had happened. No one else had been in the house that day. The den is right around the corner 8' away from the kitchen. It was the Home Depot delivery guys. I sat down at my desk and opened the center drawer.

An iPhone and a thin digital camera were missing. We checked for her iPad that had been on the kitchen counter. Subsequently I have found that another watch from a drawer by the doorway was also taken. Nothing else is missing other than our confidence in Home Depot.

Apparently Home Depot outsources delivery. Two sketchy guys handled the delivery. One of them made a quick snatch and grab visit to my den while she was not paying attention. Now she feels badly that it happened under her nose and we both are just really disappointed that a big deal Christmas present for us both has cost us so much.

We both feel violated. The delivery guys, of course, denied the theft and the Sheriff's office has been unable to tie the theft to the two guys. We still have finger print dust in the den leather doesn't take prints. Three of the stolen watches were valuable. The three police reports document the case but not the disappointment. The Home Depot store manager knows about this but didn't reach out.

The delivery people turned it over to their insurance company who said it wasn't a loss, it was a theft and the staff denied the allegation. My homeowners policy doesn't cover valuables like this.

Typically I am chary about offering unsolicited advice. I'll make an exception here because I am pissed. NONE of that happened. Frustrated about this I finally called Home Depot customer service on Sept 10th after the time frame ended without any delivery again and spoke with Cindy who called UPS and find out what really happen. She said that deliveries are usually given to a carrier and that Home Depot doesn't have any control of the shipment process.

She spoke with UPS and promised that it will be delivered tomorrow Sept 11th. We purchased a suite of new Samsung appliances from Home Depot. The refrigerator was delivered damaged. The delivery personnel called Samsung and put me on the phone with them. Samsung said they would replace the door within the week. That was five weeks ago, numerous phone calls and many hours on hold. Whenever I call they say they are going to call me back with resolution, but they never do. So I called Home Depot as well and get a runaround from them too.

The last call said they had no record of a damaged appliance. Funny, they never said that on previous calls. Ultimately I purchased the appliances from Home Depot.

Home Depot's customer service is very lacking and I do not recommend making any large purchases with them. Our sales associate was incredibly knowledgeable, courteous and patient. As we rang in the sale we presented a lower price on a range we saw, she took the time to investigate it through the internet and her supervisor. She explained and encouraged us to purchase warranties and for US it made sense. She did all this even when she was about to walk out the door, she stayed and completed our order.

She was so wonderful, Home Depot has won my business! Her name was Carmen and she deserves to be acknowledged and I just wanted to say thank you to her and Connor who rang through the sale for a job well done. I am a veteran. I have on 3 occasions been denied my discount because my veteran medical card isn't an appropriate form of ID. I have since canceled my credit card and will not shop at Home Depot ever again.

Lowe's has never given me a problem so I will purchase most of my home remodel items from them. Today, I had one of the best customer experiences ever.

And yes her expertise was invaluable. But more importantly she was kind, compassionate, and customer-centric. She made me feel valued as an individual customer. She was so good that I decided I will now purchase my granite countertops from Home Depot and more specifically from her even if they cost more than the company I was originally going to use.

So to be clear she treated me so well that I will not price compare on my future purchases that involve her and her department. I purchased my LG washer from HD, at a higher price, because I was told it was in another HD warehouse and could be delivered in 3 days.

It has now been three weeks and still no washer. The manager declares it is an LG problem, and LG said I should never have been told such information as they never know what models are being shipped from overseas.

Home Depot has left me in the middle of this mess with no refund and no way out! If you like hearing "I'm sorry," overpaying, being ignored and your project late, then shop with Home Depot. The final work was nothing close to what was described at time of purchase: No customization or changes allowed.

Damage to area while being installed needed repair - i. Some of the work - trim - need to be removed and put back on correctly or replaced altogether. This was very unprofessional and gave me a great insight to how dysfunctional HD is.

Now that I've had the HD experience, I know do better myself or at least the same quality of work. Although I will be on time and save a ton of money, headaches, hassles. At the end of the day, the material cost was a little high and the labor cost was astronomical 1. It was my mistake to think HD can do a better job, be professional and deliver on time. Please don't make my mistake. Also, I don't need to hear another "I'm sorry". I am now using their competition to buy everything needed for two bathroom renovations.

They had my business until they lost it. Called local Home Depot to order a water boss water softener. Told the employee I would need to have it installed. He told me the third party installer would contact me re cost of installation. When the company called they said they would need to see the location. They used my call as an excuse to send a fast talking, high pressure salesman to try and sell a product many times more expensive. What were they thinking? My husband and I purchased a Turf Beast self propelled lawn mower when it was being sold by Home Depot online as their special buy of the day.

Unfortunately we were unable to use it until the following month because of several weeks of terrible weather. When we finally were able to use it we discovered that it did not work. The self propel feature was non existent and it stalled constantly. The grass was not overgrown and we had it on the highest setting but still it stalled every few feet.

So we call Home Depot customer service hoping to exchange this for the exact same item. This was fresh out of the box, so we did not expect it to be an issue thinking that we were just unlucky and got a defective product. It was then that we learned that the three month hassle free returns Home Depot boasted about when we signed up for our credit card had a clause stating that gas powered products could not be returned or exchanged after 30 days.

We had no idea. Very disappointed in the lack of help from Home Depot. They should stand behind their products. I wanted to remodel my entry way closet and reached out to Home Depot consultation team for a free in home consultation. I filled out the form online and received a phone call the same day for scheduling.

However, when my appointment arrived no one showed. I called the number that was provided to me and explained no one showed. Another appointment was provided and again the same thing happened.

I called the customer representative number again and the same response was given, "We don't know what happened and we tried reaching out to the consultant and their manager but is unable to reach team. Why would I want to make another appointment when my valuable time was wasted twice! If I am already having problems getting a consultation I can't imagine the problems I would have if I decided to hire them for my closet remodeling.

I go to Home Depot several times a week with my husband who's a contractor. I walked around the entire store and found no employees to help me. Where you ask are all of their employees? Stationed at the cash registers of course! Ready to take your money, but NOT available to help you with their merchandise. Is this company really so greedy that they can't hire a few employees to assist customers?

Bought doors and paid for doors on July 31st. Was told order and install would be 4 weeks out We were told the doors just arrived and it would be September 25th before we could get them installed. I can install the doors myself but I paid to not have to do it.
